What's in my BAG?

Oh Hey there!
So, thought i'd do this tag as it is probably one of the most popular...
My bag is from "Edina Ronay" from TK Max and I have no idea how much I payed for it...

First up,
I have my purse: It's a Nicole Lee which I bought in AD somewhere, and I have no idea what it cost.
PASSPORT! Never know when you're going to need ID...
In the UK you never know when you're going to need a trust brolly...
With my hair it can often get unruly and knotty really easy, so I have a brush that I think I got it in a wholesale shop (?) it says "Cricket, Sculpting 680"
Perfume! To smell nice of course...
iPod, never know when you'll want to listen to some music, and recently i've been travelling a lot so it's a good time consumer...
I've been getting heartburn recently and it was completely unbearable, so I purchased some Rennie's, they're minty flavoured and they're not so bad, and I think they're working :D
I received this from a friend, an EOS Lip sphere thingy, it's in the flavour 'mint' and it is well love, as you can see from the messy packaging...
It was, believe it or not, REALLY sunny in England the other day, so I have my sunglasses in my bag, not that it's been sunny today or anything (wishful thinking maybe?)
I carry a comb around incase my hair's curlier than usual and I just want to fix an off piece or I want to add a little volume... (oh hey there cross eyes)
ALWAYS carry a pen, you never know when you'll need one, I bet you've all had a moment when you've needed a pen, bet you!
John Frieda Full Repair perfect ends sheer mist, it's supposed to be used on wet hair, which I do, but it's really lovely if your hair's feeling a bit dry and you want a little something on your hair, and it smells lovely...
This is shocking, and I didn't realise I had so many lying around, but as it seems, I have a multitude of lip products in my bag, Chanel to Revlon to L'Oreal...
And, my makeup bag!
(bag was from a Benefit Boutique, gift on purchase)
Lastly, my phone, an old Blackberry Curve :D

Thanks for reading,
Much love,

Tag Time!

I was bored, and I somehow stumbled onto this on the interweb, a bit of fun a guess...

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows, because frankly, if you have pretty eyeliners you can blend them out and use them as cream eyeshadows or use darker ones to define the crease, you can use lipsticks on your cheeks etc...

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Depends what it means by 'chop off all your hair', does it mean to nothingness? I think i'll go with 'never be able to cut it again', just maintain it with conditioners and serums.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Ooh tricky, as I'm quite pale so peach blushes look best on me, so I guess i'd go for coral?

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes, because I'm desperately in need of clothes right now, in other circumstances, makeup all the way!

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eyeliner as lipstick, pink and red eyeliner on blue eyes and pale skin? I'd look awful, unless it was a nudey one, and the whole eyeliner thing, It'd be like being Lady Gaga? Blue lips etc :D

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora, hands down, so many different brands etc, and I'm more of a Chanel girl anyway...

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One eyeshadow colour, as I hardly use eyeshadow now anyway, and lipstick colour can change your face.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Well, being an English girl, you should all know English summers are cold anyway, so I guess i'd go for winter clothes in summer...

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark nails, I don't know why, I'm just drawn to the darker colours.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Favourite eye product.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I'm such a ponytail girl, if I wear buns i'm the typical Ballet bun hair, and ponytails are so girly etc.

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never paint my nails again, because you can keep your nails lovely and maintain them without polish, but lipgloss, I don't know, just wouldn't want to live without it.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
OH LORD, neither? Sharpie eyebrows, they'd look awful and strong and fake and eugh, but then again no eyebrows kind of look alien and strange, but I think i'd have to go for the no eyebrows, no way would I have sharpie brows.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish, hands down.

much love,
Emily xx

I'm turning into a full fledged shopaholic.
It's getting worse, and I'm pulling my sister over into the dark side...

So, we stumbled into House of Fraser (department store) yesterday, and I somehow managed to reach the Chanel counter and yeah, mayhem happened.

My sister's going to the Proms which is a massive music thingymabob, and it's very dressy and ooh la la etc, so we went to get her a full outfit, dress, shoes, bag!

She never really wears/buys makeup, but she didn't want to buy "crappy" makeup and that she wanted classy things, so Chanel it was.

Well, she bought lots, and I mean lots, and I got a little jealous, so somehow my purse seemed to open and money came flying out, and in return I received a lovely black and white Chanel bag full of goodies!

Firstly, I originally bought this one item, on it's own, the Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzing makeup base.
I've always wanted this but never bucked up the courage to buy it, and in it's place I've either bought a lip gloss or lipstick... so I bit the bullet so to speak, and to be honest, for 30g of product for £30, not bad Chanel not bad!

I'm not going to bore you with details as I'm sure that you all know what it's about and what it does and so on and so forth...
cue awkward picture!

These next items were kind of 'spur of the moment', but they're all gorgeous and lovely and...

Next comes thee Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, of the liquid (ah hem, "hybrid") variety...
I'm shade B20 Beige, but I may purchase the lighter one due to my "slight" tan right now, and it's such a gorgeous foundation! It's light, but has coverage, and it covers my red marks on my face, but struggles at points when I have blemishes, nothing concealer can't handle though! Bit of a pricey purchase though for £32
Please excuse the dodgy photos, I've misplaced my actual camera, so my laptop is doing the work for me!

Ok, this purchase was a complete impulse, I hadn't even heard of it, but the sales lady said they sold a lot, and it was so gorgeous etc!
It's the Soleil Tan De Chanel sheer illuminating fluid in Sunkissed (£31), it's SO gorgeous, perfect highlighty glowy magic, gold but not gold, and it's not a "glitter bomb", just shimmery goodness...

I got the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 69 Flirt (£24), ok, don't mean to be rude or anything put pairing "Flirt" and "69", the Chanel people have a sense of humour!

In the bullet it looks like a vibrant coral, with a good balance of pink and orange, and swatched on my pale skin it looks very much coral, my lips most of the time have little pigment, so it transfers as a light coral, and very beautiful, but I can imagine on more pigmented lips it will transfer more as a pinky coral than an orange coral. It's actually quite pigmented when swatched a few times, it's so beautiful!
For some reason my camera is deciding to be horrible, it is coral, promise you!

Lastly, I bought the Coco Mademoisele Fresh Moisture Mist (£28 for 100ml!), and I'm in love! One of my favourite smells, it's a moisturising spray that you can rub into your skin and leaves you smelling gorgeous and softens your skin, smiles all round!

Thought I should mention a perfume I recently received as a present (from my sister), the new Diesel eau de parfum pour femme, Loverdose...
I love the smell, maybe it's the liquorice or the vanilla, either way, it's lovely and I'll probably wear it all the time, along with my Van Cleef and Arpels and my Flora by Gucci, love love love!

Thanks for reading,
love Emily xx

Reviews for the future...

So today in Covent Garden, yes ladies and gentlemen - I finally got to LDN! anyway, where was I...

today in Covent Garden I rather cheekily went into the Benefit Boutique and may have bought two items, one being SunBeam the other Dallas, ok you may be thinking "Why Dallas when there's CORALista and Hervana etc" but to be quite frank I liked Dallas more, it's such a unique colour, a plumy bronze glow and so I bought it. I then caved when I saw SunBeam, just shining on the counter begging "buy me!" Guys, it's gorgeous, and even lovely on pale skin, yay for Benefit!

Real reviews shall be written on these products, but I just had to let you know because I was dying to write about them.

Oh, and I went to 'Screen Face', a professional stage makeup shop place, and I purchased Ben Nye's Cameo Luxury Powder, a lovely slightly tinted setting powder, it leaves such a silky finish and it doesn't leave a white cast, thank the Lord for stage makeup and it's loveliness... oh and it was only £5 :o cheaper than most drugstore cosmetics, wooo!

Ok, I'll stop rambling now as I have to print off train tickets and other wonderful things.
Ciao for now..

Crappy Foundations

Remember in my previous post that I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation...

I tried it yesterday, and it was HORRIBLE.
It seemed alright at first, as I applied it with my fingers it was gliding on smoothly, but apparently if you miss areas you get a dark line where the foundation stops. I tried and tried to blend it out and it just broke into pieces, as if it had formed into some weird texture and it was no longer liquidy, there was no way any makeup would go over it or look good being on top of it, it probably would of broken up the pigments in my other makeup. I couldn't even go out the house it looked hideous.

I removed it with my normal face wash and then re-moisturised and then tried again, just incase the first time was just a fluke... oh no, it happened again.

Ok, I don't want to seem dramatic or anything but I began to panic. I had no foundation to take to England with me, that's when I remembered I still had my Match Perfection foundation by Rimmel, it may be old, but I love it! At times...

So, now I'm in England I can buy all the wonderful products that we can't get in AD, I think I may try the Wake Me Up foundation (?) and I also definitely want to buy the full size of Posietint by Benefit, I absolutely love it, I have the mini version but it's almost ran out, cue sad face and sounds of hysteria :)

So I shall love you and leave you,
Have amazing days everyone!

Much love,
Emily xx

So I'm at the airport and the first thing I bloody did was walk to the duty free cosmetics area and start swatching things on my arms...
and then it came to me...

the answer, pure and simply put, is that I love it, I love the way it can transform a face, or just simply highlight already amazing features, it's amazing, and no matter how much makeup I have I will always always always buy more!

So, I decided I will buy my cosmetics from the Duty Free on board my flight, (EY11 to Heathrow if you're wondering), and then, if there's nothing I don't like I can't buy anything, saving me money!
But alas, my brain does not think like that and I will probably end up buying something...

This is such a rambly post, I apologise.
I don't think anyone reads this anyway?

Much Love,
Em xx

Impulse Shopping...

So as you can tell, I impulse shopped today...

I'm going to England (home) for the summer, and then hopefully to a warmer country in the middle of summer, so I needed to buy a slightly darker foundation as ALL my foundations are lily white.
So I waltzed up to a Rimmel stand and grabbed a Stay Matte Liquid Foundation, the colours 103 True Ivory and 203 Sand. They're 30ml and in slender packaging, which is ideal for travelling, and it's cheap, so if it's crap then hey ho, I can purchase something else!

(what they look like, however not my colours)

I'll try it for a couple of days, but I won't start using it until around the 10th of this month, so a review should be coming along towards the end of July, as long as I have internet!

I also went on a family shopping trip to Dubai the other day and Dad was going a bit crazy buying things, (I say Dad, but it was pretty much the two of us).
I bought on that day, another impulse buy, a laptop case... I wanted a padded cover for my laptop so I can put it inside a bag (my trusty carry-on for the plane), so I bought the "Whatever It Takes" case from the Apple shop in the design by Paul Smith. The money goes towards a charity, so I guess it's a good buy? OH! And it's REVERSIBLE!!!
So the reversible case, one side purple the other grey, LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I also bought (I know, stop buying Emily!) some face creams, because I am running out and I wanted to try something new.
So I stopped by Sephora and picked up some of Sephora's own skin care, I'll let you know how that gets on! and... a Bioderma cleansing water thingymabob for the aeroplane :D

Insert a bad photo taken in the car on my knee!

So, I shall report back on the findings I shall hopefully find and hopefully (touch wood) the products will be fine for my face!

Much Love,
Em xx

June Favourites

So I've been in Uganda for most of June, well 16 days of it (so technically half).

Since I've gotten back, and with my slight tan (cue sounds of delight) I've changed up my foundation routine and the products I've been using, and these products have become my everyday routine...

So, to start with, to give myself a bit of an extra glow I've been using Soap & Glory's "Glow Job". Yes, the name, I know, but the product is amazing. I love love love Soap & Glory product and I plan on buying a lot more when I go home for the summer!

When I first bought the foundation I'm now using I hated it, the colour was too dark the consistency didn't seem right, but now, what a change! It's the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation SPF15.

and it's back to old favourite with my powder, mixing together two MSF Naturals in Medium and Medium Dark, I also use extra Medium Dark as a bronzer to warm up my face a little.

I've also been loving the DIORSHOW Extase mascara, it gives me the perfect definition with separated lashes and it's gorgeous, I'm running out of it though so I shall purchase another in the airport in a weeks time.

and finally, two lip glosses I've been loving...
firstly is the Lip Maximizer by Dior, it gives such a light tingling sensation which I prefer than the burning sensation others give.

then there's the gorgeous Dior Lip Addict Lip Glow in Rose Bikini from the new summer collection, it's the most gorgeous bright rosy pink colour...

I suppose I should post a picture from Uganda here:
